I think it's a good idea. You'd have lots of opportunity for jobs, and Canada is just like the US (better in many aspects too :P) People are alot nice IMO

For years I have worked with various Canadian nurses who came to the states to work because they make FAR more money in the states than in Canada.

One of the disadvantages of socialized medicine is that the government doesn't pay doctors and nurses well. As a result, nurses and doctors tend to flock from Canada to the US not the other way around.

It's a good idea. Don't listen to the guy that said nurses make more in the US than Canada. Do your research on job sites, not true. You'll make more money and have universal health care if you move to Canada.

Haha rhsaunders, do you have any idea how many illegal American aliens live in Canada? They clean our toilets pretty good for free health care though :)

Not at all. I moved from the States to Canada. Never looked back. Much better place to live and raise a family.

We can always use nurses. Come to Alberta. There is a shortage of nurses, I think.

It's perhaps a good idea, if you find a locale you like and would like to live in. there are some considerations regarding your degree though: To be eligible for consideration, all candidates must possess: • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree from a recognized educational program. • A minimum of two years current work experience in a hospital setting. • Current PRC Registration. • A clear criminal record • Good health, as a mandatory physical examination is required for immigration purposes.

No, you'll be OK. Canada is a very beautifull country and canidians are much nicer people than Americans. You'll get Universal Health Care too. Good luck. :o)
