is it true that foreign nurses can work directly in Australia but not in Canada

is it true that foreign nurses can work directly in Australia but not in Canada?
I have read that in Canada foreign nurses need to study again for some time before being allowed to take regulatory exams. Is it the same in australia? What are the rules for nurses to be able to work in australia?

I want to take an Reg. Nurse course in Canada, what are the advantages from your experience

I want to take an Reg. Nurse course in Canada, what are the advantages from your experience?
I am a new single parent of a four yr old, but I'm already 31yrs old, I have a background as an accounts payable admin which is mediocre and below avg for a single income...and I need to provide a secured future for my child I also have my Phlebotomy Diploma and Medical lab tech diploma (i know this is nothing compared to nursing plus these jobs are not readily available and are hard to find so this is out of the question)

you will have to take a four year undergraduate degree in nursing to become a reg nurse, i don't know whether or not could afford the cost/time. if you can, it is definitely worth it because nurses make pretty good money, and will always be able to find a job.

Taken from the first source listed: "According to the 2005 Alberta Wage and Salary Survey, Albertans in the General Duty Registered Nurses occupational group working part-time or full-time earned from $15,200 to $61,800 a year. The average salary was $48,700 a year." The second source is a news article which suggests a 15% increase in wages has just been approved for all nurses.
2 :
This salary calculator can help you find what the average salaries for nurses are in different parts of Canada.
3 :
RN's start at around $28 and LPN's around $18 an hour
4 :
It would be about $30 per hour.

If I'm a Registered Nurse in Canada, how can I go work and live in the US

You need a sponsor (employer) for the work visa but it appears that isn't difficult for medical professionals. Search "Travel Nurse jobs USA" to start. There are services that specialize in placing foreign national RNs with hospitals in the USA. If there are places/cities you want to go you should make contact with hospitals in those areas and ask their Personnel offices about applying. They have to be willing to do the paperwork for the visa and not all of them will do that. Good luck

well if you have a job waiting for you in the US you can get your new employer to sponsor you. good luck :)
