CAREER opportunities after Bachelor of Science in Nursing

CAREER opportunities after Bachelor of Science in Nursing?
I'm situated in Brampton, Ontario (Canada). I was wondering what kind of career opportunities I can pursue with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. More specifically, I would like to know if I can pursue a family nursing career (similar to a family doctor) because that's my true passion. In other words, can I be a nurse for a family in my own clinic? If so or if not, can you list similar careers with a Nursing degree? And do I need to specialize in family practice with a Nursing degree in order to obtain such a career? An answer to any question would be much appreciated, thank you.

Nursing is an integral part of medical care system. It is the art of caring sick people with the science of health care and believed to be one of the noblest jobs in the world. There are wide employment opportunities for B.Sc. /M.Sc. Nursing/GNM/ANM Degree holders in public as well private sector. You can seek a job in Govt. run hospitals, primary health care centres, dispensaries and health projects and scheme run by government departments. You can also be employed in schools, Orphanages and old age homes. In private sectors nursing homes, clinics are also open to you. You are also recruited by Military, Railways department for their departmental hospitals. You can also aspire to be getting employed in industrial houses and factories. Besides these You can opt for teaching in training institutes as educator. It seems you want to be a nurse for a family in your own clinic. It is possible but before that you should have enough experience with a Govt or Private Sector. You can start your own clinic as soon as you get enough experience. All the Best!

You canot be a nurse with your own clinic. You could become a Nurse Practitioner in a family health clinic but you would still be under the supervision of a doctor. To become an NP you must get your BSN and at least 2 years of nursing experience before you could apply to an NP Masters program(2-3 years).

Both are professions that are in demand in Canada. There is a lot of paperwork involved, so be aware of that. Go for it!

You need to contact the college of nurses for the province you want to live in. They will tell you what you have to in order to become licensed. You will at some point have to write the national exam for nurses. You will also need to get a work visa. You can find out more at www.cic.gc.ca.
3 :
immigration to Canada (permanent residency) works on points system like requirement of age, education, experience and language test and if you can get minimum points and minimum survival fund, your chances are more

i don't know the procedure or have the perfect answer for you. but maybe to help you i would recommend to contact the IMC (international medical center) between heliopolis and 10th ramadan on cairo-ismailia road. its a co-working project between egypt and usa and they are american nurses to train local ones as well. maybe they have an exchange programm with usa? i don't know about it, but i would consider it worth a phone call or a visit. if you start there, maybe you get a sponsorship in your further education that way.
