here is a website to start www.albertahealthservices.ca Probably wont tell you Pay but other info I would suggest that if you found the pay rates in any province you would be close to Alberta rate . Probably higher in remote areas . Strong Union so the rates would be fairly standard . Increases for sure with higher qualifications and more experience . Try to Google the wage nurse canada alberta etc, and you will probably get your answer. I could ask in the morning here if you still haven't got an answer. There is a nurse in the house.

The simple answer is YES. You need to prove your academic background is on par with the Canadian equivalent, AND you have to prove practical experience. Sometimes this is as simple as a letter from your previous employers (at least 5 years' worth), but most often it means taking the test - or at least a portion of it - again. This is because you need to be accredited by the province in which you intend to work. (The same holds true for going from Canada to the US, by the way).

YES

depends in what country you did your training

Contact the College of Nurses of Ontario if you are planning to move to Ontario. This province does NOT have an LPN programme but it does have a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) programme so there will be some hoops that you may/will have to jump through. To be registered as a Nurse in the province of Ontario yes you will have to take a test with a minimum pass mark. I've put the URL for the international applicants below. Good luck, in what ever province you decide to locate to.

I think it depends on the type of diploma, it takes a 4 year course and a bachlours in nursing to get a degree as a registered nurse in Canada but there are lower positions of nursing assistants and home care workers etc available. Your best bet would be to contact the provincial board of health associated with the province you are interested in working in for all qualifications
