You may have to do some exams over, but the US generally accepts Canadian nursing qualifications. In fact, the US does a lot of recruiting for nurses in Canada.

The American medical community drools over Canadian trained nurses. But do you know what makes Canadians really mad? Hospital administrators from the USA coming to Canada to speak to grad year nursing classes to offer them hiring bonuses and higher salaries upon graduation. Our energy and our expertise plus subsidies from Canadian taxpayers helps put these people through college. Then Americans come along and try to steal our best and our brightest? Then they wonder why the world has a problem with the USA.

That depends on the kind of nursing degree you have and the field of nursing you are involved in. The US loves Canadian nurses, but sometimes in special areas - such as neuological nurses or pediatric nurses - additional qualifying courses are required. But again, that depends on whether you have a full degree or a community college program behind you.
